Following on from ERDPP success the U13s Girls produce a spirited performance to beat a well established Old Brods Team.

The Girls U13s team travelled out for only third time this season with the intention of joining forces with YMCA to take on Old Brods but unfortunately YM had no players available on the day , without even a second thought the Girls turned there attention to the job at hand which wasn’t going to be easy as 4 of the Girls hadn’t played together before and just to add to the mix not played Union before either , the game was played in three 15 minute games to give the Girls time to adjust to each other and the new rules .
The Girls showed no concern at all and straight from the first whistle took the game to their opponents , so much so Cleck scored first which put shock waves through the Brods team and they knew this was going to be no walkover ! The Girls continued the game with excellent teamwork and determination and kept going as they started and although the opposition scored some excellent tries of their own the Cleck Girls never took a backward step and showed how fitness and team spirit can win matches against a team that has been together for over 2 seasons and had hoped to use this as a training game but were denied on this occasion.
A massive well done to each and everyone of the Girls U13s Team it was a great game to watch and played in the true spirit of the game the win was the icing on the cake .
