Junior Games hit hard

Well everyone I don't think I have to tell you it's been a little wet recently ! I personally have't seen continues rain and flooding in my lifetime and it is heart breaking for those caught up in the floods.
As we all know we have had a number of weeks where the games could simply not go ahead and as frustrating as it is we will all have to try and be patient . Having only one pitch of our own is difficult and we must remember that we play under the Senior section banner who maintain the pitch to a high standard all of which is under the control of the CSC Grounds Manager who has to make the decision on whether the pitch is fit to use or not , we also use the pitches at Whitcliffe Pavilion but these are also under the control of Kirklees who ultimately give the go ahead to use or not as was the case these last few weeks. I think those who travelled to Old Brods on Sunday will agree the devastation was evident with 100 plus players indistinguishable due to the mud bath !! And also you will have noticed they were not allowed on the main pitch but we're lucky enough to have several alternative mud baths on their patch !
Training was also cancelled by Kirkless who had been hit with floods and did not want further damage to their facilities. One day we hope to have a 3G pitch that we can use and enjoy but until then can I thank you for your patience , we know how frustrating it can be and our Fixtures Secretary Hannah Curley try's her best and many hours trying to keep the fixtures live and your coaches/admins are tied by obstacles out of our control.
If you have any questions please get intouch.
