Pippa Curley has successfully gained entry into the ERDDP training Programme.

Over the last couple of months Pippa has attended trials to gain entry into the ERDDP
( England Rugby Developing Player Programme ) , the trials are hard and test every aspect of the player from speed and agility to game awareness and team work , after the first trial in late 2017 Yorkshire Carnegie along with Yorkshire County RFU decided to try a new format where not only were trials held in the four quarters of the county but a combined trial where all the Girls would go head to head , during the trials Pippa showed more than just a clean pair of heels in the speed and agility requirements along with a couple of try’s taking the opposition over the line she also showed a rare talent where if you tackle the legs the player will fall !! And this was proved time and again against opponents twice her size. Pippa has played all her junior career at Cleckheaton and has now made the move to Cleckheaton Girls U13s where she leads her team with respect from all players even the U18s she has shown that talent and dedication along with great technique will always win out over size and power . We as Juniors and also as a new Girls Section are enormously proud of Pippa‘s achievment and wish her well in the following ERDDP sessions where she will be coached by Carnegie and Yorkshire county staff , the next stage is Yorkshire and then who knows we maybe watching the next England star from CRUFC
Well done Pippa and her Coaches not forgetting a proud Mum .
We also like to say a massive well done to the Boys who attended a similar boys selection where they all gave a great account of themselves and we hope the future holds more achievements and selection.
