The 1st team were naturally disappointed after a couple of slips in concentration and defensive lapses allowed their visitors to get back into the game shortly after half time and then command a lead which would not be beaten on 60 minutes. Meanwhile the Kestrels were away at Ilkley and brought some cheer back to Moorend with them, as 5 tries from Ben Womersley (2), Cain Crotty, Craig Blackburn and Elliot Sheard, as well as a conversion and penalty from Womersley won them some valuable Premier Merit League points.
