This is sure to be a very competitive match as Scunthorpe landed seventh spot in National 3 Midlands ... only one place lower than Cleckheaton achieved in National 3 North.

Unfortunately the fixture against Percy Park for this weekend (22 August had to be cancelled last week after new coaches, Gordon Piper and Scott Benton decided that an additional week's preparation was required before the team could turn out. We look forward to going up North to see our friends at Preston Avenue for a friendly next year instead.

The season proper starts the following week (5 September) with another home fixture against Firwood Waterloo who beat us at Moorend in the last game of the season in April 28 to our 24.
