After last weekend’s narrow and agonising loss to 2nd placed Rossendale, the 1st XV make the short trip to Sandal looking to build on what was a fine performance against one of the league’s strongest sides. Another tough encounter is on the cards against 5th placed Sandal, who have registered 7 wins from their 10 home games played this season. Sandal secured a narrow 23-16 win when the sides met at Moorend in October and an equally tight game is expected on Saturday.

The Kestrels follow up their fine 10-5 victory at Ripon last week with a merit league game against Driffield 2nds and will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league after recent good results in friendly fixtures.
