Cleckheaton RUFC are delighted to announce the signing of Rory Woollett, who joins us from Petone Rugby Club in Wellington, New Zealand.

Rory brings with him an impressive rugby background and experience from one of New Zealand’s proudest rugby regions.

A product of St Patrick’s College Silverstream, Rory was part of their Premiership-winning pathway and made his mark as a talented halfback, including scoring in their 2019 Premiership semi-final victory.

He went on to join Petone, one of Wellington’s most historic clubs, where he has helped them to win the Jubilee Cup this season.

Rory has also represented Wellington Māori, earning selection at first-five and competing against some of the best representative players in the region.
Now he’s ready for a new challenge in England.

We’re delighted to have Rory joining the Cleckheaton family and can’t wait to see him pull on the red and white and show the supporters what he can do.
