Cleckheaton U9's vs. Old Rishworthians U9's

On Sunday Cleckheaton RUFC U9’s hosted Old Rishworthians. Both Cleckheaton and Old Rishworthians were able to field strong teams with Old Rishworthians having two teams.
In the first game, Cleckheaton took advantage of any loose ball with some particular ferocious tackling from last week’s player of the match, William Wilkinson. Good positional play from Thomas King and William Carden enabled quick play to the wings with Sam Jackson and Mackenzie Sheldrake (player of the match for his outstanding contribution) ready to pounce enabling Cleckheaton a 5-1 victory.
However in the second game against fresh players from Old Rishworthians, fatigue in Cleckheaton players showed and their opposition raced to a 3 try lead. With some strong running from Sam Booth & William Nicholson and determined tackling from Theo McAnulla and Declan Wilson (100% effort award for his never give up attitude) , Cleckheaton fought back with grit and determination with the game ending 5-6 in Old Rishworthians favour.
