21 Tries & A Clean Sheet

At the behest of Keighley, a joint Cleckheaton RUFC U10’s/U11’s travelled to Keighley with Cleckheaton looking to overturn their recent mixed fortunes.
Keighley started off with some strong running and flowing rugby. However, some herculean rucking of the ball from William Nicholson and Sam Nolan provided the platform for Cleckheaton to go on the offensive. Keighley’s game plan became further unsettled with rugged tackling from Finlay Hubbard, Patrick Houston and Declan Wilson who worked tirelessly in defence.
Barnstorming runs from Sam Booth and Max Cost who both ended up with several tries with bewildering pace and excellent handling from Tom Wassell and William Carden.
The team’s defence was key to the score line with some last-ditch tackles being made to restrict Keighley to no tries. It really was a team effort with the willingness of the players to make the tackles and when a breach was made, to get back and realign.

Training is on a Wednesday 6-7 and matchdays on a Sunday. No previous experience is needed and all levels of ability are welcomed.
